Job Overview:
As a General Painter at TTC, your main responsibilities include preparing surfaces and applying paints, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings to infrastructure, equipment, and buildings. Key Duties:
Surface preparation: sanding, cleaning, and priming
Applying various paint systems using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Following safety procedures and using protective gear
Keeping detailed records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications Required:
Completion of a Painter apprenticeship or equivalent certification
Knowledge of surface preparation and industrial/commercial painting techniques
Ability to work independently and on night shifts
Awareness of safety standards related to hazardous materials and working at heights
Previous experience in a public transit or large industrial setting is an asset
