Job Overview:
As a General Painter at TTC, your main responsibilities include preparing surfaces and applying paints, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings to infrastructure, equipment, and buildings. The position primarily involves night shifts, ensuring work is completed during non-operational hours for maximum safety and efficiency.

Key Duties:

  Surface preparation: sanding, cleaning, and priming

  Applying various paint systems using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment

  
   


• 
  

  Following safety procedures and using protective gear

  
   


• 
  

  Keeping detailed records of work completed and materials used

  
   

 

Qualifications Required:

• 
  

  Completion of a Painter apprenticeship or equivalent certification

  
   


• 
  

  Knowledge of surface preparation and industrial/commercial painting techniques

  
   


• 
  

  Ability to work independently and on night shifts

  
   


• 
  

  Awareness of safety standards related to hazardous materials and working at heights

  
   


• 
  

  Previous experience in a public transit or large industrial setting is an asset
